Jan Wirth is a Berlin-based graphic designer and founder of studio Shock Department , who works independently with artists, labels, publishers and cultural institutions. He is a graduate of the Berlin University of the Arts and specializes in visual communication and concept-driven graphic design. His work in music graphics, visual identities and editorial design has won awards and been featured in numerous design publications.

Jan teaches in the design department at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam.
